#the best thing about this cinematography is that it is so clear that Whedon & co are familiar with the source material #because every. single. shot. looks like it was lifted directly from a comic book #this isn’t just a creative team that knows how to make movies #these guys know movies AND comics and they’re weaving the two together so flawlessly #which I think is just what this movie needs in order to work #IT’S A COMIC BOOK MOVIE THAT *LOOKS LIKE A COMIC BOOK* #so even if the movie itself winds up being totally awful I will still be able to have a field day with the aesthetics of the thing #glory hallelujah
